Personal Retreat Stays

Private sanctuary experiences for rest, reflection, creativity, and reconnection.

Retreat Your Own Way

Not all retreats need a timetable, a workshop schedule, or a long list of activities.

At MoonWillow Manor, we believe there is great value in spaciousness...in having time to listen to yourself, follow your own rhythm, and simply be. Sonya has been a retreat facilitator for over 2 decades and is passionate about the benefits of retreating.

Some guests arrive with a journal, a book, and a desire for quiet. Others come during a season of transition, seeking clarity, rest, or a chance to reconnect with what matters most. Some spend hours wandering the gardens, walking the labyrinth, soaking in the bath, or sitting with a cup of tea and no particular agenda at all.

Your retreat can be entirely self-guided, allowing you the freedom to create the experience that feels right for you. There are no expectations, no obligations, and no pressure to fill every moment with activity.

For those who would like a little more support, optional experiences are available, including guided meditation, labyrinth practices, deep listening sessions, reflective conversations, and seasonal rituals. You are welcome to choose as much or as little as feels nourishing.

This is your time.

A time to rest, reflect, create, dream, grieve, heal, celebrate, plan, write, reconnect, or simply pause.

At MoonWillow, we hold the space. How you choose to inhabit it is entirely your own.

Optional Retreat Experiences

Labyrinth Walks

Walk the labyrinth as a moving meditation and a journey inward.

Unlike a maze, there are no wrong turns or dead ends. The labyrinth offers a simple yet powerful way to slow down, quiet the mind, and gain perspective. Whether you arrive with a question, an intention, or simply a desire for stillness, the labyrinth invites reflection, clarity, and presence.

Guests may choose a self-guided walk or a facilitated experience with guidance and reflection prompts.

Guided Meditation

A gentle opportunity to slow the mind and settle into the present moment.

Sessions may focus on relaxation, grounding, self-compassion, clarity, intention setting, or simply creating space to breathe. No previous meditation experience is required.

Meditations are tailored to meet you where you are and can be held indoors, outdoors, or incorporated into your personal retreat experience.

Deep Listening Session

Sometimes what we need most is a space to be heard.

A Deep Listening Session offers the opportunity to speak openly about whatever is present in your life while being met with attentive listening, thoughtful reflection, and compassionate presence.

These sessions are not counselling or therapy. Rather, they provide a supportive space for reflection, insight, and reconnecting with your own inner wisdom.

Ideal for times of transition, decision-making, grief, change, or simply untangling the threads of life.

Seasonal Ritual & Intention Setting

Mark a threshold, honour a life season, or reconnect with what matters most.

Drawing inspiration from seasonal cycles, nature, and meaningful ritual, these experiences may include reflection, journaling, symbolic practices, intention setting, and simple ceremony.

Whether you are welcoming a new beginning, releasing what no longer serves, celebrating an achievement, or seeking greater alignment, ritual can help bring meaning and clarity to life's transitions.

Your retreat could have an opening and closing ritual to really solidify your intentions.

Creative Reflection

Creativity offers a powerful doorway into self-discovery.

Through guided journaling prompts, creative exercises, visualisation, or reflective practices, you'll be invited to explore your thoughts, dreams, and intentions in a gentle and accessible way.

No artistic experience is required—only curiosity and a willingness to listen to what is emerging within.

Perfect for writers, creatives, life transitions, or anyone seeking fresh perspective.

Restorative Rest

Sometimes the most transformative thing we can do is rest.

There is no schedule to follow, no expectation to achieve, and no pressure to be productive. Simply permission to slow down.

Spend your day soaking in the tub, reading in the library, wandering the gardens, napping beneath a blanket, watching the chickens roam, sitting by the pond, or doing absolutely nothing at all.

In a world that constantly asks us to do more, Restorative Rest is an invitation to remember the healing power of enough.

Create Your Own Retreat

Choose one experience, combine several, or simply allow your retreat to unfold naturally.

Whether you're seeking rest, clarity, creativity, healing, connection, or quiet, MoonWillow Manor offers space to retreat in a way that honours your own unique needs and rhythm.

Who Stays Here

There is no single reason people come to MoonWillow Manor.

Some may arrive feeling tired and overwhelmed after giving so much of themselves to work, family, or the demands of daily life. Others may find themselves standing at a crossroads, navigating a life transition, seeking clarity, or trying to make sense of what comes next.

Some guests may come carrying grief or loss and simply need a gentle place to be held by quiet, nature, and time. Others may arrive seeking creative inspiration, hoping to reconnect with their writing, art, dreams, or the parts of themselves that have been neglected in the busyness of life.

For some, MoonWillow is a solo escape...a chance to step away from responsibilities, enjoy uninterrupted solitude, and remember what it feels like to move at their own pace.

For couples, it can be an opportunity to reconnect, share meaningful conversations, and enjoy time together away from the distractions of everyday life.

You don't need to be in crisis to come here.

Sometimes the reason is as simple as feeling the need to pause.

To breathe more deeply.

To listen to yourself again.

To spend a few days surrounded by nature, beauty, and stillness.

Whatever brings you here, you are welcome exactly as you are.
