MoonWillow Manor is a peaceful, lived-in family home in Dairy Flat, near Silverdale, Auckland. While we lovingly share this space with guests, it is not a hotel or commercial retreat centre. It is a slower, quieter environment shaped around rest, reflection, creativity, meaningful connection, and everyday family life.
We ask that guests read the following information carefully to ensure MoonWillow feels aligned for everyone involved.
The Atmosphere of MoonWillow
MoonWillow Manor is best suited to guests seeking calm, restoration, inspiration, or gentle retreat from busy life.
This is not a party house or high-energy social environment. Themed gatherings are welcome but must still fit into this vibe.
The atmosphere here is quiet and respectful, heart-centered and welcoming, mystical farmhouse cozy in feel, shared with nature, animals, and family rhythms, designed for slower mornings and peaceful evenings.
We deeply value kindness, communication, emotional maturity, and respect for shared spaces.
A Shared Family Home
We live onsite as a family (2 parents & one young adult) and share parts of the home with guests.
You may encounter our friendly young Terrier, two cats, chickens wandering the property, family life in shared spaces.
While guests have privacy and space to retreat, this is also a real home filled with warmth, personality, books, conversation, and lived-in charm. if anyone wishes to do a silent retreat, we can honour that for you as we've done many ourselves.
We believe this authenticity is part of what makes MoonWillow special.
Quiet & Respectful Living
To preserve the peaceful atmosphere of MoonWillow, we ask guests to observe quiet evenings, respect shared spaces and belongings, communicate openly and kindly, be mindful of noise levels, especially at night, treat the property, gardens, and retreat spaces with care.
MoonWillow is not suitable for
Parties or loud gatherings, excessive alcohol use, guests seeking a highly social or nightlife-focused environment.
Retreat & Reflective Offerings
Some guests visit simply for accommodation, while others choose to create a more intentional personal retreat experience.
Optional offerings may include Guided meditation, Labyrinth practices, Deep listening sessions, Reflection and seasonal ritual experiences. These offerings are supportive and reflective in nature and are not therapy, counselling, or medical treatment.
Guests are always encouraged to honour their own wellbeing and seek appropriate professional support where needed.
Shared Spaces & Amenities
Guests may enjoy shared dining area, cozy lounge, movie and library spaces, outdoor decks and seating, bonfire, pond gazebo and gardens, labyrinth spaces, guest bathroom with soaking tub and another with shower. Kitchen access is available for light use where appropriate.
Nature & Rural Living
As a lifestyle property, MoonWillow includes the natural beauty...and realities...of rural living.
This may include uneven ground or muddy areas in wet weather, chickens and outdoor animals, seasonal insects and wildlife, weather changes and outdoor conditions.
We encourage guests to bring comfortable clothing and footwear suitable for relaxed outdoor wandering.
Retreat Venue Hire
MoonWillow Manor may also host occasional intimate retreats, circles, workshops, or gatherings facilitated by aligned practitioners.
These gatherings are intentionally small and heart-led in nature.
Is MoonWillow Right For You?
MoonWillow may feel deeply aligned if you are seeking rest and nervous system reset, quiet reflection, creative inspiration, gentle retreat from busyness, meaningful conversation or solitude, a slower, more intentional atmosphere.
It is not be the best fit if you are seeking luxury resort accommodation, a highly polished commercial retreat venue, nightlife or entertainment, fast-paced social environments.
